All are welcome to join meetings. Invites, with an agenda, are sent to all website sign-ups shortly before each meeting. Zoom login details are included or contact the office (see below).

The A​nnual Parish Meeting

The Annual Parish Meeting is not a Parish Council meeting. The Local Government Act states that every parish must hold a Parish Meeting between 1st March and 1st June (if there is a Parish Council the Chairman of the Parish Council, or vice-chair if the Chairman is unable to attend, must preside).

The agenda for the Ashwell meeting is published in the Yearbook along with reports on activities over the last year from the Parish Council and other local bodies and organisations.

The Annual Parish Meeting gives the opportunity for parishioners to put questions to parish councillors and other representatives. As this is not a parish council meeting it is not conducted in the same way or governed by the same rules as a parish council meeting. Members of the public are permitted to make statements on relevant matters during the meeting. Any resolutions passed do not bind the Parish Council but could subsequently be considered by it at their meeting.

The 2024 Annual Parish Meeting was held on Wednesday 20 March, 7pm at the school

The Recreation Ground Charity: Allotment for Exercise & Recreation Charity No 245521

T​he Parish Council is the sole trustee of this charity and as required under audit regulations holds an AGM separate to the Parish Council meeting.
