Village Litter Picking Dates
From November to March, Councillor Max Patterson is planning to organise 5 litter picks, one each month, to tackle the major problem of littering in Ashwell and its surrounding countryside, as well as to collect degrading plastic hedgerow tree guards, to prevent further plastic pollution.
The first 3 of these picks will be on the following dates:
- Saturday 28th November
- Saturday 12th December
- Saturday 16th January
Max is looking for as many volunteers as possible, to get out on the day and help with collecting litter. If you are free on these days, please do consider getting involved and help keep our village litter free! Your contribution can be as small or large as you’d like.

Max is handling all of the planning and logistics, and will be able to help with any queries you might have, and provide more details on the timings, location(s) and drop off points for litter etc.
