Have your say on new local policing priorities
Ashwell policing is undertaken by the Safer Neighbourhood Team based in Royston
They want to know your views on what issues you think they should be focussing on in the coming months as they set their latest policing priorities.
Their consultation runs until 10th September. See the link below to respond or sign up to their OWL Neighbourhood Watch system for regular local police updates https://www.owl.co.uk/
Their current priorities are:
- Inconsiderate parking near local schools during drop off and pick up times.
- To reduce youth related anti-social behaviour in Royston.
- Speeding throughout the urban and rural areas of Royston.

If you live in Royston Town or the rural areas around it, and are interested in how your community is policed, then your local officers want to hear from you.
They want to know your views on what issues you think they should be focussing on in the coming months as they set their latest policing priorities.
Safer Neighbourhood Team Sergeant Ryan Champion, said: “Feedback from residents is vital as we start thinking about the next set of priorities for Royston. We’d like to hear from the community about what they think we should focus on and if there are any particular problems they think we should prioritise?
“Please let us know using echo, our online community voice platform, and OWL surveys available for completion by local residents, between 4-10 September, while consultation with local district councillors will take place the following week, after which the latest priorities will be announced.”
The Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNT) work with local communities, dealing with short and long-term neighbourhood issues, such as anti-social behaviour and criminal damage.
Visit the Royston echo page https://bit.ly/police-royston to submit your feedback completely anonymously. However, please give us as much information about the issues as you can – dates, times, and locations of incidents are very important, so the information can be passed on to the relevant team.
If you are a member of OWL - our Online Watch Link – you can also complete our special priority setting survey which will have been emailed to you.
If you need any further information, please contact the SNT by email via Royston@herts.police.uk
