The applicant, Jarvis Homes Ltd, was invited by the Parish Council to give a short presentation at the April Parish Council meeting on Wednesday 5th and also to attend the site meeting on Saturday 8th April.
At the meeting on 8th April the Parish Council voted to object to the application on the grounds that it is contrary to the District Local Plan and the Ashwell Neighbourhood Plan.
The Parish Council is currently formulating its detailed response to the Planning Officer and will publish this as soon as it is available.

A proposal was made, and seconded, that an objection to the application be made on the grounds that the proposals were contrary to the policies of the Local Plan and the Neighbourhood Plan. It was agreed that the response to the NHC Planning Officer would include details of inaccuracies and discrepancies in the application as well as contraventions of relevant policies. It was noted that a section 106 claim would be submitted to NHC for implementation should permission be granted.
The proposal was agreed (unanimous).
