HCC School Admission Arrangements 2027/28
On 16 September 2025, County Council Cabinet proposed to:
- To reduce the published admission number (PAN) at 3 community primary schools.
- Retain the remainder of the county council’s existing admission arrangements for 2027/28, including PANs, Relevant Areas and schemes of coordination.
A link to the consultation proposals can be found from October 27 at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/admissions2027 . The consultation period is for 6 weeks, between 27 October 2025 and 7 December 2025.
As required by the School Admission Code, Hertfordshire's coordinated schemes of admission for 2027/28 are available from October 27 at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/admissions2027
The County Council's admission arrangements will be determined by Cabinet on 16 February 2026.
2027/28 Admissions Consultation for Own Admission Authority Schools and Academies in Hertfordshire
The County Council is also coordinating the consultation process for any own admission authority school or academy in Hertfordshire that wishes us to do so.
From 27 October 2025, the proposed admission arrangements for 2027/28 for own admission authority schools, will be available from October 27 at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/admissions2027
A list of schools and academies proposing changes is attached.
The consultation period is for 6 weeks, between 27 October 2025 and 7 December 2025 and responses should be sent direct to the school or academy concerned.
